Objectives
- To make the students aware of the concept of health and factors influencing health.
- To appreciate and understand the need of participation in games and recreational activities.
- Organise and evaluate activities related to health and physical education.
- Create an environment in the school to promote sports membership among students.
Achievements
- Ms. Vishali Verma ,Mr Naseer Ahmed and Ms. Rashika Bazaz ,student of Traver and Tourism Department secured Ist position in Inter Department Quiz contest ,2019
- Mr. Luv s/o Rajkumar, a student of Department of Civil Engineering (4th semester) participated in J&k State Powers Lifting Championships in July, 2019 where he secured 2nd position. He also bagged 3red position in J&K State Powerlifting Championships held in Oct.2019 and secured Ist rank in National Powerlifting Championships organized by Indian Powerlifting Federation
- In 2019 Inter Department Rolling Trophy Volleyball Tournament was organized in which Automobile Engineering. Department Led by Neeraj Sharma won the prestigious Rollins Trophy, as Electrical Department led by Asif Javid was runner up.
- Mr. Siddhant Rina s/o Mr. Sandeep Raina, a student of Department of civil Engineering (6semester) participated in 25 Junior National Fencing Championship in Jan.2018.He also bagged Bronze Medal in Junior National championship held in Dec. 2018.
- Govt. Polytechnic College Jammu organized its first Inter Collage Sports meet under the name of "SPORTEC” from 27th Oct. till 2and Nov.2018 in which 500 students from 15 Educational Institute's across the state participated with enthusiasm in multiple events, displaying sportsmanship discipline and brotherhood.
- All the Sports and Physical activates are organized under the invaluable guidance of Sh. k.s.Batia ,HOD(Mechanical)and Sports secretary of the Collage and Ms. Guminder Preet Preet kour Physical Education Master.
- Automobile Engineering Department was the winner of the Inter Department Rolling Trophy Volleyball Tournament, 2019
- Vansh Gupta s/o Kuldeep kumar Gupta, student of 2nd semester Civil Engineering got selected in event "Fencing Saver" for Common Welfare games to be held in Cape Town (South Africa) later in the month of July 2015.
- Runvijay Singh s/o Mohan Singh, a student of 2nd semester Civil Engineering adjudged 8th in Fencing Saver at National level.

Shzar Sharma d/o Ragesh Chanyal, a student of 6th Semester Electrical Engineering has participated in Table Tennis at National Level. She also participated in Police Tournament held in February 2015 and adjudged First in Table Tennis.
- Shzar Sharma d/o Ragesh Chanyal, a student of 6th Semester Electrical Engineering has won First Prize in senior category (Table Tennis) at State Level held in Nov-Dec 2014.
- Ajay Kumar s/o Hans Raj, a student of 2nd semester Instrumentation & Control Engg Dept. has participated in 100m & 400m rellay in January 2015.
- Rajat Sharma s/o Sat pal Sharma, a student of 4th semester Electrical Engineering Dept. secured 1st position in inter Dept. chess championship.
- Rohit Sharma s/o Sat Pal Sharma, a student of 2nd semester Civil Engineering secured first position in inter Dept. carom competition.
- In 2014, Inter Deptt rolling trophy volley ball tournament was organised in which Mechanical Engg. deptt. led by Mr. Abhishek won the prestigious rolling trophy, whereas Electrical Deptt led by Mr. Balteshwar were runners up.
- The students of this institute 1st time participated in 26th Jan, 2014 parade along with other colleges, polytechnic and degree colleges. Mr. Abhishek Gupta, a student from this institute was the leader of the tableau on the behalf of all colleges on 26th Jan 2014 at MAM Stadium.
- Mr. Abhishek Gupta and Mr. Sachin participated in inter college quiz contest hosted by Govt. women college Gandhi Nagar under sweep programme under the patronage of D.C Jammu.
- In Jan 2013, Mr. Danish a student from this institute bagged a prize of Rs. 12,000 /- by securing a fourth place in marathon of 40 km organised by Police Deptt.
- In 2013, Mr. Mohit along with his team from this institute received the honour by participating in open badminton championship organised by Police Deptt. Jammu.
- In 2013, Mr. Sachin and Mr. Amit bagged 1st and 3rd position in the inter college chess completion organised by I.E.C.S purkhoo.
- Miss Sehzar dominated in inter Deptt. T.T competition by securing 1st postion and Mr. Sachin stood at 2nd place.
