Red Ribbon Club of Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk, Jammu in collaboration with J&K State AIDS Control society organized a Poster making competition and Rangoli competition in the institution to commemorate the Worlds AIDS Day – 2024 in which more than 100 students participated in the competition with great zeal and enthusiasm and expressed their thoughts through Posters and Rangoli. Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal Govt. Polytechnic Jammu interacted with the students and educate them regarding how to combat with the disease. The theme of the competition was "Take the Right Path".
The main aim for the event was to make the students aware that HIV continues to be global health concern due to a number of shortcomings, including division, inequality and contempt for human rights and we need to aware the masses for the same. After that the certificate were distributed among the winners and the participants for their volunteer participation to eradicate HIV-AIDS from the society. During this event Er. Inderjeet Singh Workshop Superintendent, Er Sukhdeep Singh HOD Civil Engineering Department, Er. Manjeet Singh HOD Electrical Department, Er. Raj Kumar HOD Mechanical Department were present.
