A campus placement drive was conducted at Government Polytechnic, Bikram Chowk Jammu today by AM Hyundai and QE Electronic Pvt. Ltd. Jammu to provide employment opportunities to the pass-out Polytechnic students. The placement drive was conducted under the guidance of Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal, Government Polytechnic Jammu for the recruitment of the polytechnic diploma pass out students of Electrical, Mechanical, Automobile, Instrumentation and Control and Electronics & Comm. Engineering.
AM Hyundai was represented by Er. Neeraj Pandita (Team Leader), and QE Electric by Mr. Upkar Khajuria (Deputy CEO). Both companies offered positions to students from various technical disciplines. They interacted with the students and conducted technical interviews of the candidates. Pre-counseling placement session was also conducted for the students. 37 students participated in the drive for AM Hyundai, and 33 candidates participated for QE Electric, Jammu. Students from the engineering branches of Government Polytechnic (GP) Jammu, Govt Women Polytechnic Jammu, GP Samba, GP Kathua, GP Rajouri, GP Ramban, and GP Kishtwar took part in the drive. 10 students were selected by AM Hyundai and 04 by QE Electric, Jammu for final scrutiny of documents. Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal Govt Polytechnic Jammu thanked all the resource persons from the companies for the campus placement of the students and impress upon the students to participate in the various placement drives with full enthusiasm and make full use of their professional & technical skills for employability to various organizations. The placement drive was a significant success, reflecting the college’s unwavering commitment to providing excellent career opportunities for its students. Er. Ajay Thapa, Incharge of the Training and Placement Cell at Government Polytechnic College, along with the faculty members Er. Himanshu Bakshi, Demonstrator, Electrical Engineering Department, Mr. Ashok Verma, I&C Department, and, Mr. Rakesh Bhatt Lecturer, and volunteers from Mechanical 5th-semester Gurjot Singh and Abhimanyu Rana worked diligently to ensure the smooth execution of the event. |
