Government Polytechnic College Jammu organises Mega Yoga Camp & Seminar on Personal And Menstrual Hygiene in Collaboration with Ayush Department J&K

Government Polytechnic College Jammu in collaboration with Department of Ayush Jammu and Kashmir organized a Seminar on PERSONAL AND MENSTRUAL HYGIENE for female fitness. The seminar was organized under the guidance of Principal Er. Arun Bangotra Government Polytechnic College Jammu and the directions from Director J&K Ayush Dr. Mohan Singh & Supervision of DAO Dr. Vandana Dogra, in which female Staff and girl students of Government Polytechnic College Jammu participated.

The event was organized to raise awareness about the benefits of yoga among students. A mega yoga session was also conducted by Dr. Himani Butyal (Medical officer AYUSH) and her team Ishan Mansotra, Mamta Sharma, Vandana Sharma, Ratish Kumar, Vanshika Gupta, Ankita Uppal and Sheetal Khajuria (Yoga Instructors). The female Staff and girl students participated in various traditional asanas and taught different methods of meditation. The Program was led by Dr. HIMANI BHUTYAL (Medical officer) Incharge Camp. She delivered a lecture on Personal and Menstrual Hygiene. She explained in detail about Do and Donts of Personal Hygiene, how to manage hygiene during periods. Queries by girl students related to this topic was clearly explained and answered by Dr. Himani Butyal (Medical officer).

Speaking on the occasion, Er. Arun Bangotra expressed his views on the importance of Yoga and appreciated the efforts of the team members of Ayush Department for the successful event. He stressed on the need of coordination between the educators and youth to make Yoga a part of their life. He also shared that the people have widely accepted the effectiveness of Yoga as a form of therapy. He further stressed on making physical activity and yoga part of day-to-day life.

The session was specially organized for all female teachers and girl students of college. It was very fruitful sessional and everyone enjoyed the session. Yoga session was appreciated by Principal Er. Arun Bangotra Government Polytechnic College Jammu Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu Er. Arun Bangotra thanked the Director AYUSH Dr. Mohan Singh and DAO Dr. Vandana Dogra and AYUSH TEAM lead by Dr.Himani for organising such a wonderful Camp.

The arrangements for the smooth conduct of Seminar was made by the College faculty, which comprises of Mrs. Sakshi Kapahi, Mrs. Manu Rajput, Mrs. Vandana Chib and Mrs. Toshi Devi. Others Present on the occasion were Mrs. Harmeet kour, Mrs. Ruchi Gupta, Mrs. Heena Gupta, Mrs. Surekha, Mrs. Ritu Manhas, Mrs. Kanta Balouria, Mrs. Naseem and other female Staff members.
