Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk Jammu today distributed Certificates to the trainees of two batches in Tailor (Darzi) on the successful completion of the Basic Skilling Training and also started the skill training under PM Vishwakarma Scheme in Carpenter (suthar) trade.
The PM Vishwakarma Scheme training was conducted under the leadership of worthy Secretary Skill Development Department Sh. Kumar Rajeev Ranjan (IAS). The certificates were distributed today to the trainees by Director Skill Development Department (SDD) Sh Sudershan Kumar (JKAS) in presence of Ms Leena Padha (JKAS), Mission Director, Skill Mission J&K along with Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu, Er Arun Bangotra, Sh. G.M Bhat Joint Director Skill Development Department and faculty of the college. Principal Er. Arun Bangotra extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries and trainees under Vishwakarma Scheme and highlighted the basic objectives of the scheme by recognition of artisans through PM Vishwakarma Certificate as well basic training of five to seven days and advanced training of 15 days or more, with a stipend, providing modern voucher toolkit of Rs 15000 free of cost to trained Vishwakarmas besides linkage with credit based soft loans and marketing support for expansion of their business. While addressing the trainees, Sh. Sudershan Kumar Director Skill Development Department enlighten on PM Vishwakarma Scheme which is an ambitious initiative of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi Ji and it aims to provide recognition, training, tool kits, certification, marketing support and soft loans to empower the craftsmen and artisans of our country who immensely contribute towards the economy of our nation as a whole. He commended the efforts of Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu Er Arun Bangotra and his team for successfully conducting the training under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. While speaking on the occasion Ms Leena Padha Mission Director, Skill Mission J&K encourage the trainees to leverage their skills and open up their own business and earn the livelihood and contribute to the nation’s economic growth. While speaking on the occasion, several trainees expressed their gratitude towards the administration of the college for successful and smooth conduct of their training. Other present on the occasion were Er. Inderjeet Singh workshop superintendent, Sh Raj Kumar HOD Mechanical Engineering, Sh Manjeet Singh HOD Electrical Engineering Smt Surekha Rani, Smt Sanjogita Mehra, Sh. Sandeep Singh and Sh Amit Kapoor Instructors of Government Polytechnic Jammu, and various craftsmen were also present on the occasion. |
